Judith Phillips spent her formative years in Oak Park, Illinois, a vibrant suburb of Chicago celebrated for its rich artistic community. This unique environment played a critical role in shaping her creative path, as she was immersed in the legacies of renowned figures such as architect Frank Lloyd Wright, author Ernest Hemingway, and cartoonist Stan Keaton. Growing up surrounded by such creativity, Judith developed a strong appreciation for art in its many forms from a young age. Family vacations to the tranquil lakes of Wisconsin became a recurring wellspring of inspiration for Judith. The peaceful atmosphere and small-town charm of these lakeside settings kindled her imagination and deepened her love for the natural world. At home, Judith spent countless hours captivated by the vivid photographic images she found in magazines such as National Geographic, Look, Life, and Time. These visual experiences further fueled her passion for art and set her on the path toward becoming an artist.

Judith’s aspirations as an artist began to crystallize when she discovered the medium of photography. Her natural talent became evident as she quickly started winning contests and earning awards for her work. These accomplishments attracted the attention of major publications, which commissioned her to create compelling photographic pieces. As Judith’s reputation grew, her photographs became highly sought after by the public.

Among her many achievements, Judith Phillips is perhaps best known for her acclaimed Motherhood series—a photographic collection that was exhibited internationally and established her reputation as a global photographic artist. Her black and white photographs of JonBenét Ramsey further enhanced her standing within the photography community, representing a bittersweet milestone in her career.
Judith now resides in a Victorian house in the heart of Denver, where she continues to pursue her artistic endeavors in an inspiring setting. Even after a period away from photography, her creative work endures.

Many of the images included in Judith’s upcoming collection were originally captured on film or slide. Each photograph has been meticulously scanned and printed on a variety of photographic papers, with the entire process conducted in a professional laboratory under Judith’s direct supervision. This careful approach ensures that the quality and integrity of her work are preserved for all who choose to display her photographs.

Judith also plans to donate a portion of each sale to her grandchildren, reflecting her deep commitment to family. She shares, “Family is most important in my life, and my success will benefit my daughter’s challenges as a single mother. I admire and deeply respect her love for her children.”
